What you’ll learn
We know teachers lack time, the DCL postgraduate is designed to be studied WHILE you are practising. Many of our assessments are collaborative (it's an assessment, not a test!) and learning assessment relates to your own practice and reflections as an educator.
This flexible Level 8 NZQA accredited (60 Credits) Postgraduate offers NZQA-accredited professional development in various contemporary educational issues and technologies. This includes leading change, cultural intelligence, design thinking, AI literacy, and research-informed innovation in the classroom.
You can study fully online or combine online learning with selected in-person sessions in Auckland. Both study modes provide the same learning and outcomes.

How this Postgraduate Certificate works
There are 2 parts to this programme:
Course 1
Investigate Transformation and Leadership. Evaluate the role of digital technologies and collaboration in changing educational environments and reflect on your professional practice to identify opportunities for innovation.
Course 2
Delve into research and innovation. Develop evidence based, culturally intelligent approaches to lead the implementation of digital and collaborative learning initiatives in your practice.
Move into Masters
Put your innovation into practice or further your knowledge starting with Part 2 of our Master of Contemporary Education.
