PhD in Information Technology | 200+ Publications | Adjunct Professor, University of Canterbury | AI & Education Researcher | Author, Multiple Books | Former Senior Academic, Massey & Southampton Solent

David Parsons is one of the most prolific researchers working at the intersection of technology and education globally. With over 200 publications, including multiple authored and edited books, and senior academic experience across New Zealand and the UK at institutions including Massey University and Southampton Solent, he has spent his career building the frameworks that help educators and organisations understand what digital technology is doing to learning.

His current work as Adjunct Professor at the University of Canterbury focuses on AI literacy and the practical implications of artificial intelligence for education at every level: how it changes what students need to learn, how it changes how teachers teach, and how organisations need to develop the capability to work alongside it rather than around it.

What distinguishes David's work is the combination of scale and practical application. Two hundred publications is a life's work most academics never approach. If you want to know where learning and technology are heading, he has already mapped it.
