academyEX (including faculties The Mind Lab, Tech Futures Lab and Earth Futures Lab) is a Tertiary Education Organisation registered by the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) to deliver qualifications approved by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) under the provision of the Education and Training Act 2020. academyEX was previously rated Category 1 under NZQA’s former External Evaluation and Review system. Since EER categories were discontinued in 2026, academyEX is quality assured under NZQA’s integrated Quality Assurance Framework through annual self-review, quality improvement planning and ongoing regulatory engagement.
