Head of School of Pharmacy, University of Auckland | Associate Professor | Postdoc, University College London | 140+ Peer-Reviewed Publications | WHO Policy Contributor | Digital Health Researcher

Amy Chan has spent nearly 20 years at the intersection of technology and human health, specifically how digital tools can reveal more about how people breathe than any clinical examination. As Head of School of Pharmacy and Associate Professor at the University of Auckland, she leads research connecting digital technology, big data, and respiratory health in ways that are already reshaping clinical practice globally.

Her postdoctoral fellowship at University College London gave her exposure to research at the highest international level, and her output reflects that standard: over 140 peer-reviewed publications, contributions to WHO policy guidelines, and work on wearables and sensor technology that is moving from the research lab into real clinical decision-making.

At academyEX, she brings the perspective of a researcher who has seen how digital health actually develops, from the initial idea through the regulatory maze to the point where it changes what a clinician does at the bedside. That full-arc understanding is rare and genuinely valuable.
