Do I need to know anything about Generative AI before I join?

No, we’ll start the workshop with an overview of Generative AI to help with your understanding. The workshop caters for people from beginner to intermediate knowledge.

Will you teach me how to use the tools?

Yes, at academyEX we’re all about hands-on learning! It’s a bit hard to teach all the tools in 6 hours, however, we will spend a considerable part of the day testing out different tools and applying them to different contexts. All participants will need a laptop that can connect to the internet.

Do I need to have access to any Generative AI accounts set up before I come to the workshop?

Yes, we will require you to set up a ChatGPT4 account. We recommended that 1 in 3 people in your group set up a ChatGPT4 account before coming to the workshop.

Can there be more than one sector focus?

Yes, as long as we have at least 2 weeks to prepare. Please indicate to our team when they get in touch what sector you’d like us to focus on eg. Retail or professional services.

How many people can come to the workshop?

Our workshops are designed to be interactive, hands-on and fun. A minimum of 10 people and a maximum of 30 people.

What will happen after I submit my enquiry form?

Once you submit your enquiry form, our friendly team will get in touch with the main contact person that you nominate on the enquiry form and discuss all your needs including dates, time, location, catering, number of attendees, area of focus etc.

Where does the workshop take place?

Our workshop can be run from your place or ours. academyEX is based at 99 Khyber Pass, Grafton, Auckland. If you wish for us to host the workshop at your office, please let us know when our team gets in touch to discuss logistics. Please note travel costs will be additional for any staff facilitating workshops outside of Auckland.

Can we arrange our own catering?

For workshops at our lab in Auckland we have a number of lunch options available for $25 - $30 per person, depending on your lunch menu preferences. We will provide complimentary morning and afternoon tea for participants. You are also very welcome to arrange your own catering. Please note catering costs will be additional.

We're not based in Auckland, can we host at our offices, or a venue of our choice?

Yes, of course, please let our team know where you would like to host the workshop. Please note travel costs for our facilitators to travel or stay outside Auckland to run workshops will be additional to the per person workshop fees.

What time does the workshop start and finish?

We’d recommend 9am - 3pm, however if you need a bit of flexibility on either side of this, please let us know.

What happens if we need to swap out some of our staff on the day or in the lead up?

No problem! We get it, things change. Just let our team know as soon as you can so that we can ensure we capture all the correct details of those on site for health and safety reasons. However, the number of people booked for your workshop will still apply.

What is the cost of the workshop?

$595 (including GST) per person. Please note, a minimum of 10 people per workshop is required to go ahead.

Is there a cancellation policy?

Any cancellations within 7 days of the event will be charged at 50% of the full cost. Cancellations up until 8 days prior to the workshop will not incur a cancellation fee.
